I have a Marantz hooked up to the living room A/V system. .07% THD is the Shit still!

I have a Pioneer Elite in the Man Cave.

I am also trying to sell one of these:

    VSX-9511-28-145_zpse15a5dc7_3ad297fd42b00d5c41e7292a1192a1d4712d105c.jpg

This is the first Pioneer Elite made. New it was $1,500 or more.

They say the older systems will withstand a EMP , don't know how far back you have to go though .

Part of my home set up. Some of this I purchased in the 70s. Thank goodness for audiophile restoration. I had a guy called Catrafter completely rebuild my marantz a couple years ago. Don’t know if you can make it out but under the GE there is a mint Yamaha 1200U “Dragon slayer”

I got rid of a few crown amplifiers three months ago. My uncle said he got them in the early 80’s.

I'd like to see mine just go to a good home. Otherwise I intend to use it in the garage.

Yea, I will likely just buy whatever is the cheapest at the time. And put one in each corner of the garage up at the ceiling. Right now I have a shitty little boom box and it has like 3 working channels. So if I can I would like to be able to source my phone via a hookup somehow to the Pioneer for Amazon Prime music.

Honestly, I'd rather sell it to a collector cheap.

So many settings. Reminds me of this quote by Hunter Thompson referring to a rental Cadillac...

    That's funny!

I use to own a 1975 Eldorado. One cool feature was a large button on the floor in the upper left hand corner, near the kick plate. When depressed it would change the channel on the stereo. It also had automatic headlights. They would come on at dark and would switch back to low beams when there was oncoming traffic. The only thing wrong with it when I bought it used in 1981 for $1,600 was a large cigar burn in the carpet under the floor mat. Oh, and it got like 9 mpg LOLOLOL.

Cadillac: you can pass anything on the road, except for a gas station.

Yea, it had one of the largest production engines ever put into a car. Displacement: 8.2 Litres, V-8 (500 CID)

Needless to say, nothing on the street at the time could beat it at the local drive in burger joint. It was a sleeper for sure.
