Exactly. It will have basically a double lip. One that’s on the inside pressing against the stock seal, then the outter one covering the whole stock brake light

@mesojdm I wondering if you could make a pig tail connector for a 3rd gen tacoma 3rd break light. I bought the kc light mod and was just seeing what could be done with out cutting the factory wiring harness.

Not there yet. There will be so many different configurations for the lights(bed, chase, brake, etc) I am not sure if I want to have a dedicated kit, Might leave it up to the end user to wire as they choose.

Also I've been messing around with Antenna mounts.
How about a BD with integrated NMO?:D

Not bad price at all but a 100. That’s a lot of extra.

    Stuff..and things. Mostly stuff
I think that leaving the wiring up to the end user will be the most economical option and will help keep the price down as well as production time.

Also, I was wondering when/if you were going to attempt the NMO challenge. The design looks good, very clean lines.

Plenty to replace the ones that will inevitably rust over time. Black oxide coated stuff doesn’t have great corrosion resistance.

x2, black zinc coating will hold up much better long-term. But you're not going to find black-zinc-coated hardware just laying around the way you do with black oxide.

You can make the screws black by heating them up to 570-750 F and drop them in olive oil, it will turn them black and give them a protective coating. (Little shop trick I learned)

Without reading through 75 pages, what's the big difference between 2nd and 3rd generation lights? It it width? Angle? I thought the cabs were basically carryovers

3rd gen double cabs are what’s different, larger light.

2nd gens and 3rd gen AC are the exact same 3rd brake light
