Not trying to dissuade you of the purchase. On the contrary. They are a MUST HAVE as far as off roading is concerned. My wife is only 5'2" and uses the sliders as a step, as well. Get them. No regrets.

Mine uses them as steps too. 20 degree is typical for most brands, so if you go with 10 or even 0, it'll serve a little better as a step. Mine are BAMF @ 10 degrees, and I also have no regrets.

 

Actually thought about you the other day. Had the fire pit going at home and tried the steak in the coals trick, Came out fucking amazing! Sorry no pics.

about the sliders being higher than the steps for my wife. My wife's steps will be my sliders. Just juiced she told me she wanted them! I'm looking at BAMF

I cook steak like that every chance I get. I'm going to try salmon next time. I think it'll need a really thick coal bed and dry it off on a towel before going in.

I want to try it at work but not sure how I can make 100 portions of it. I have a La Caja China pig roasting box I can use. I'm thinking I can get natural charcoal and use that. I can probably cook 15-20 steaks at a time in there. I have a selection of regular gas bbq grills but no way to burn wood or charcoal in big enough container except the Caja China.

 

putting in some more work on the camp trailer today. im trying to decide on the insulation. anybody ever use the spray foam insulation? pro/con on it? i've heard its easy to do just a pain to clean up/trim if you over spray. also, started a "build thread" for the camp trailer. will hopefully be completely ready by spring, depends on money lol.
