Yeah, flux core. I'll get gas at some point. Was using the recommended settings on the welder and tried tweaking it a little from there, still learning. The mix of thickness from the frame to the tube was messing with me, didn't know which way to go. It's still solid tho. The end caps came out better, not perfect but better.

Noice! I'm liking that rear. When it comes time for mine it'll either be one of those, CBI or if Bruteforce comes out with one. Looking forward to the install pics

Looks a liiiittle intimidating to install. Lots of wires.

Might just have a company install it as the cold weather seems to be here for awhile

Flat, up hill, always drag that Wire on flux. When 2 different material thicknesses, concentrate on the thicker and wash/ meltover into the thinner, slow down and let the pool fill itself in and make a bead. Dont get nervous about burning through.

Ah yeah fluxcore sucks to weld with. Much better with gas. I'm sure it'll be fine. I've never found the recommended things to be that accurate. Faster wires speed and hotter temp will help though.

Did you get the set that comes with new bolts? My LBJ's came in a different packaging with a set of bolts in each bag.

I was seriously considering the CBI Bushmaster until I saw this one. Wasn't even on the website until I mentioned something about it in the notes when I placed the order for my front bumper. Owner put it up there and emailed me, I jumped on it right away.

Yeah, I was dragging the wire. Not worried about burning thru, it's just a pain in the ass sometimes. Just need more practice and to figure out the settings better. Thanks for the tips!

I'll get a bottle when my bumpers arrive and use that to weld them up. I think the settings are a decent starting point sometimes but obviously need tweaking. I'll start erring towards faster and hotter next time. Thanks!

minimal if any damage. looks like the fender is the only part that needs to be replaced. hoods got a small dent... but opens and closes.

pretty sure the core support is straight too...
