or at least be able to rent chains or something?

I'm arriving tomorrow, and will be driving up to Banff. Weather report shows some chance of snow.

For sure there will be at least all seasons. Call the rental company and ask for details

Thanks for your answer. When I got here I asked, and they gave me a car with winter tires.

Dude the last 3 days have been the coldest consistent temps I've ever been in. We skied Kicking Horse on Monday, and it was -24°C at the base. We heard that Sunshine was closed on Sunday and Monday because of the cold... Had a blast the whole time we were there though, and honestly pretty sad to be back home... Lol

Thats great that you had a good time skiing there, I've never skied there, my daughter has raced DH bikes there in the summer.
The view from the bar up on the mountain is pretty good!
Looking forward to it warming up!

The view from everywhere up there is really good! We hiked up Terminator Peak a bit, and we were pretty breathtaken (if that's a word) by the views. We're planning another trip back to Banff around September, and I'm hoping to make it back to Kicking Horse for some mountain biking.

Lots of great stuff in that area, sounds like you would like Revelstoke as well. Frisbee ridge other mountain bike rides in the area
Plus your dollar is kicking our butts right now!

Revelstoke has been on the list for a while now. I'm happy to have checked off Kicking Horse, but since I only spent one day there, I'm planning on returning. My wife loved it, so she's game to take another trip and stay in Golden, and ski Kicking Horse and Revelstoke, and maybe Fernie, for a few days each.

That area is so rich with outdoors stuff, I don't think I could get to it all even if I lived there. But that would be the dream. Summers and Winters. Bike and ski.
