Disappointed in the Colombia special.... it had the opportunity to be as good as the Bolivia or Vietnam special and I just think it was pretty terrible all the way through.

I'm trying to figure out why or what was missing everything felt forced but more importantly there was none of the drama, all of the funny moments were set up and seemed fake. It seemed like they also spent tons of time with overhead shots of the vehicles on highways going between the locations instead of focusing on the banter that the trio is so amazing at.

Specifically compare the altitude scenes in the Bolivia special to climbing up the volcano in the Colombia special. There was only a difference of 3000 ft but the drama in the Bolivia special was palpable, there was none in the Colombia special.

Enjoyed Colombia but I'd rank it pretty low compared to their past specials. That said it would be hard to top those.

I wonder if the previous owners of the Heep and the Cheby know what became of them.

Jeremy going that far up in a lift was nuts. I’m not afraid of heights at all but that base and weight limit would have made me think other wise

That Chevy is such a POS, too. The fact that Hammond even bought it seems very contrived, to me. Normally he'd be the one with a functional off-road rig. Even that Land Cruiser from their Bolivia special was very off-road capable when it was running.

I found it funny of course a lot of it was set up but still had some comical moments. The Trump Truck, "Richard Trailer Trash Hammond" had me rolling for a few minutes

    Yes.

The beauty of Top Gear for me was that the humor came from real events. Of course they had staged things throughout all of the specials but just as much humor came from the unexpected, unplanned. I didn't find any aspect of turning Hammonds truck into a bridge funny. Crossing the river in Boliva was hysterical.

In Colombia it all seemed forced from the vehicles to the crises. The beginning to the end.

I take some solace in knowing this was filmed a couple of years ago? (I think) They decided to not include it in season 2. So, it's old and if they thought it was amazing it would have been in season 2.

I am really looking forward to the Mongolia episode..

The part I found that I kept laughing at was Hammond not letting go of Jeremy coming out. Planned and staged, yes... but I laughed every time.

Meh this weeks episode kinda sucked IMO. They just seemed like they were forcing every little joke and 85% of them were staged. I've noticed with this season it all seems like that but has been the "worse" one of them yet. Still had some good moments and some good jokes (mainly from Hamster) but overall meh

The pickup truck episode wasn’t very good. They look like they are phoning it in now adays. Last season was awesome but they are reverting back to season one stuff

It's really disappointing. My son, 10, loves the show but they're not very good this season. He was so excited.
