Saved one of these from the trash about 15 years ago. A McIntosh 4100, and yes the name was leased to apple..

They still command a hefty price, and there is a shop over on south Congress that sells and repairs vintage audio gear. They told me when I ask about getting mine tuned up and some repairs done that even broke 4100s bring good money, and they suggest I find a parts unit to bring in at the same time.

So, in that link, what was not in my attempts with ginger ale, was BITTERS. So I got some. Shake it once or twice for a "dash". Total change. Survived two days so far.

 

Evening what's still left of TTC! Another cool road trip day with old friends. Good times. Catching up 10 page? Prolly not.

 

I guess I catch up here once a few thousand pages. Moves too fast for me.

 

Oh, it's sort of BARELY possible. At a one or two day max~depending on when you last chatted or read. I go back a couple pages and see WTF is up. When It's bonkers, I go back to where I left off. BUT, the secret is "Read and Release". Can't comment, or quote, or multi-quote - because you lose your place, and they all forgot anyway! So, you just laugh your way up to current. Goes quicker that way, and you can avoid permanent scarring.
