So the deal is those were torqued down “sans” the the torque wrench. I also spoke to @Chux earlier and he had the same shit happen when one backed out. Video and photo proof. It’s a one off and loctite will Be used next time I proceed with a project including any torquing of hub nuts and bolts in the future

 

I've began to use loctite in situations like that more liberally. Just keep a bottle of heat handy for when you need to take it apart again. Heat will break up the loctite. At least you stopped and didn't continue until it got catastrophic. Id say you caught it at the right time.

 

Just playing man, you can do whatever you want to your truck with your money. Right

It's fun for pretty much anyone as far as I'm concerned. Unless you don't like being in the woods, or lack self motivation.

 

I was stopped on the top of Tiger Mountain about 150' past where the lanes merge into one. Some jack knob with a 30' enclosed trailer going down the shoulder tried to merge in and dragged the trailer down the side of my truck. The only damage to my truck was a tiny nick (I think it was form that) on the side mirror from where it folded in against the cab and all the paint scraped off of the kick out on the slider. His trailer had a nice gouge in it going all the way down the side.

 

@Lost In The Woods have you been up in the tree farm lately? Things kinda slowed down since Christmas. We demo'd the old powder shack at the 3 1/2-4mile. Forrester said they where going to build a green house?

Nope, I've been either down in Longview or up in Sedro and Granite Falls area. I haven't been up on Snoqualmie since the middle of December. The 3 1/2 is getting a tree cooler for planting. Should be done around the middle of March. That's probably when I'll start running around up their again.
