The clutch might actually need to be replaced as well. More steels and more clutch disks usually. Always helps to go for a fresh change of the recommended oil for the clutch first though just in case.

I changed the oil at the same time as the engine work was done and then again after the break in period. Any good websites for cross referencing part numbers? Might be able to get a higher friction clutch from another kawi that would fit in the Sherpa? Do you think just need stock steels and disks would do the trick?

It's possible that more stock ones may work but thickness is usually the issue. I'd take tour disks out and use a caliper to measure them and compare to the FSM specs for them. Too many disks and steels will just bind it, but some bikes you can get away with it on. I used to go to Westside Motorsports for advice, they have some good techs. I'd give em a call for parts advice if your clutch doesn't spec out properly.

Most of my welding class was trial and error.

Weld a plate, show the instructor, do it again, never had the dude in the booth with me.

Most people just vaped in the classroom or in the booths

You'll learn to appreciate your new camera, when it gives you higher resolution images to work with. The better the image you start with, the more you can do with them.

I think it’ll be fun to mess with, might have to put some money into eventually but for the extras.
I’m hoping so, going home next weekend so hopefully I can get it under a tree.
