No offense, those sliders look awesome, but the pricing is cray-cray. I got some DCLB BAMF sliders on group buy, powder coated and shipped for literally half that cost. Considering these are something I plan to damage, I’m having a hard time with the cost vs. value aspect of your product. More power to the folks that can afford them as they do look rad and functional.

 

I have CBI. They are nice. They are well built and were very easy to install.

I however was left underwhelmed with my customer service experience, so much so that I will not recommend anyone t buy from them.

If you want @Mobtown Offroad sliders, get those. The owner is cool, and is down to earth.

Any of the good slider makers will require you to have more patience as most have a wait time to get them produced. I ordered CBI sliders after a bunch of research, but after I ordered I sort of regretted not ordering from Mobtown as I think their bolt on method is the strongest out of any I looked at. Mobtown didn’t get back to me right away, but when they did I feel like that they would be awesome to do business with. In the end I stuck with my CBI order because the order was in and via TruckBrigade they are shipped free and tax free...hard for Mobtown to compete with that. I have dealt with CBI/Prinsu and I don’t have the same complaints that the other poster does at this point...they have treated the issues I’ve had pretty well. In the end there are a lot of good ones out there...RCI, Cali Raised, CBI, Mobtown and the poster said go local has it right...or find ones where shipping doesn’t kill the deal if that isn’t an option.

Truth be told though, with all of these arguements about strength, I've yet to see a single post where someone "broke" their sliders or they failed.

 

thats because most of the stuff that most 3rd gens are taken on isnt rough enough to actually seriously damage a slider. Maybe gash or take paint off, but ive yet to see it. I think in total ive seen maybe 1 set of sliders that were torn to shit on a third gen.

 

Not sure if this is a criticism of 3rd gens, but it's kind of to be expected. Would you beat the hell out of a +$30k truck, or one that is sub $10k...

 

Its obviously not a criticism, as I own one if you look at my ID. and if you look at my sig, there is a build thread. If you click that build thread, youll see that Ive owned 2 3rd gens.

And if 30k was the same amount of money to me as 10k, kinda like how 20 dollars is the same as 15 dollars is to me, then i would.

 

Yah...wish they were 40-50lbs lighter total. They are strong as hell, and look pretty schweet

Wow. I never even bothered to check the price on those but paying for chromoly is always$$$$$ Yeah it’s stronger vs DOM at the same thickness and lighter but that’s why most of us stay with DOM.

 

That stuff is great for race trucks.

 

Yeah. I always wished I had the cash for a rollcage in chromoly on my old 4Runner.

And for people talking about the cost of the truck and not wanting to bash on it, that’s very owner dependent. I for one don’t mind bashing it. I had over 20k into my 4Runner. I flopped it and beat it to hell, why? Because I enjoyed it. I don’t plan on flipping the tacoma but I will bash it. My sliders have already seen some rocks. My high clearance rear bumper took a good hit when my rear tires slipped of a rock when I wasn’t expecting. My gas tank skid saved me a very expensive tow when I took a drop off and didn’t plan my exit well. Hell we even used my tacoma for airbag/extrication training one day at the station. Lifted from the sliders, we almost stabilized with rescue 42s of the sliders but didn’t have the space

I have some Demello sliders and they are quality, I'd buy from them again in a heart beat if I ever got a new Taco

Standard, I'm boring lol. Have you seen the X-Wing? I think they look pretty awesome
Don't buy these on mistake third gen peeps, it's for 05-15 & I don't know if they would fit
