To my knowledge Bestop still hasn't redesigned their toppers to fit the different bed on the third gen. I don't like the weird gap between the topper and the cab.

Okay perfect, someone who sees the same thing I see! They fit the 2nd gen really well but look terrible on a 3rd gen, as the softopper looks really good. If they updated the system for a 3rd gen and offered screen/mesh options they'd have my money all day.

No, I’m not sure if he actually made an account yet haha. He said that he would make an account after i sold it to him (we talked in my driveway for almost an hour). I’ll try to get some pics for you

I just stumbled upon this lol... it’s a gray 2nd gen softopper so the fit/color isn’t perfect, but it’ll give you an idea

I like my Softopper - things at least are out of sight in the bed. Keep the tailgate locked and you have more protection than an open bed. It keeps things dry if needed and folds down in two minutes if you need an open bed. Sorry, DCLB, but not inferno.

That's is on my OEM Roof Rack, and they are Yakima Frontliader Bike Mounts. No longer have that, I have a full Yakima Jetstream System Roof Rack in the garage going on in the Summer. For now I have Outboard Bike Mounts.

Figured I'd give my .02 after owning a ST for a couple years now. Most of the time I love it for my puposes. The main annoyance to me is the vinyl windows. They get scratched, dirty, foggy, wet and then they are really hard to see out of... Especially in winter time and at night. At this point, I keep the rear vinyl window and the doggy flap vinyl off unless I need to transport something that really needs to stay dry (rare). Instead, I have hung a cargo net (vaguely visible in the pic) where the rear window would be so that the dogs can't go jumping out of the back. Even the screen softopper makes is annoying bc it requires unzipping, taking out the securing bar above the tailgate, and then rolling it up every time you want to get in your bed - doesn't seem too bad in theory but gets annoying day after day. The doggy flap also bends, whips around a bit on the highway more than I'd like it too when it is in use.

I guess it depends on your main need as to whether I'd recommend - if security and weather tightness (while maintaining visibility/ease of use) are your main concern, you'd prob be better off with a hard top.

If you are like me and you need to haul tall loads somewhat regularly in your bed (dirt bikes, furniture, etc) and also want to keep dog hair out of your cab then the foldable softopper is a great solution.
