So just bought a little experimental toy.
I wanted to find a way to fire off the salamander without having to get dressed and go out on 0°
    Weather.
I don’t have any available switched circuits from the house to the garage.
    Mmmmmm
So I picked up a wireless remote power plug.
Just plug in and hit the remote when i want to power up a circuit.
Will save having to run complete circuits when power is available in a remote area.
    I like it..

Can it handle the amp draw would be my question , I ran into a problem when I wanted to rig up a thermostat for my RV there is a plug they sell that is supposed to turn on power when it gets below 32 . I did not check the specs and when I got it I then read it and it would not handle the draw of the electric well house heater I had.

Hope you are home now and got something decent to eat!

Spent 2 years on the West side of the Olympic Peninsula in Bremerton. In CONUS my favorite place. Let it rain. The steelheads and salmon will run once it does and the water gets high enough.

Wut?! You using a remote control for heating?! Tell me it isn't so! On the other hand maybe this is a good thing.

Wait I just replaced the battery in my truck after 3 years and the cold snap hit. Discovered the door switch that controls the light in the cab was sticking from the cold before the real cold hit which was draining the battery. Damn automated systems I have it turned off still.

Turn it on manually but still miss that auto dimming part. Ahh fuck it carry your ass out there and start it like a real man as you like to say :D

    about 4 amps motor draw.

My buddy has one hooked to his 140 btu unit with no issues.
Tried it last night and was great.
So this morning at -2° we will light that puppy off...

    As I said..

    Experimenting...

And like you said I carry my ass out there all the time ..lol...

I have an idea for more lights etc and I have two plug in lights in the garage I can run remotely
Run for safety reasons if necessary so I’ll have plenty of things to remotely turn on.

    Auto dimming???
Lift your arm like a real man and shut a switch off. It’s right there..

    :)

    Morning people.
    A bit nippily this morning.
Lot of recalls scheduled before noon.
To stupid to spread them out during the day.
So I will be wired about 9am. People will wait, people will get pisssed, people
will comply, people will leave unhappy. Just the way it should be in this day and age.

    Cofffffffffffffffe

And rumor has it meatballs will be provided at lunch as a Super Bowl celebration.

    I can handle that..

Good morning friends. I don't have to report the temp. It'll appear in my signature...

Well, for fun today, I get to renew my drivers license. If you recall, I just did this a month ago. I received a letter from the DMV that the clerk saved my information in the wrong file format and thus I must do this again.

Edit: Damn it! The temp is wrong. It's 9F

Edit, edit: delete the sticky in the signature...

Small J box with a starter relay. Use the plug to turn on the relay. But probably could do that easier with similar thermostat devices.
