Bahaha really? That’s shit luck. Sorry man.

Harbor Freight sells prybar kits, one of them is small enough to work.

I don't see how people struggle with that.

Get a small pry bar. Like 1 foot or 18". Take the skid off. Get underneath it and you can clearly see where to out the pry bar. One good sharp pry and it'll pop out easily.

I'm with you, but I suspect we may have a bit more experience with these sorts of things. Good on this guy for persevering- he's going to feel amazing when he is done.

I’ll grab you the part number. One second. I ordered from Gunny over at Camelback Toyota. He ordered the bolts separately, but for some reason they came in the same sealed bag as the LBJ’s with the same part number.

The spindle/knuckle is forged, a casting would be too brittle for the application. I am not sure about any finishing that would affect ductility, I am guessing it is all mild steel so yeah, the female threads inside the knuckle are definitely at risk (I think we know someone who has that issue).

    Here’s what Gary quoted me:

    43340-39585
    43330-39815
    90080-10066 x8

    $249.18

The bolts will be the one with the (x8)

Actually I'm pretty certain first gen taco spindles are not forged but cast.

2nd gens got the forged spindles.

No way jose. That 90 degree bend at the UBJ would snap like a twig the first time you hucked your truck if it were a cast part. Almost all suspension components are forgings. I think the material and/or heat treating process were changed up for the 2nd gens, which is why they have issues with spindle gussets if not done correctly.

Dual cases, triple sticks, 4.88’s, Harrop e-locked f/r, 35’s, boosted
It helps if the opening of the snap ring on the end of the cv is down, turn the cv about a quarter turn and try prying again, keep doing that till you find the magic spot. Same goes for reassembly.

I think sharp is the key word. Just prying puts it in a bind. I use a 12" breaker bar and give it a kick. 60% of the time works everytime.

Hm interesting. Why are there casting seams on them then?

Yeah. Fast and hard and it'll pop out.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Forging produces seams as dies hot form them. But usually they look more like a sawblade has had at them rather than the sharp line a cast seams produces

I finally gave in and ordered the Sony XAV-AX1000. Installation post and scathing review to come next week. If it is blinky/flashy as shit and won't dim, it's trash to me.
