what do you think of these, any concerns I should have?

looking to go with the 255/75/17. they seem to have plenty of offset @ -38 vs the stock +25 offset..

    pros:
*it will get me a bit wider for stability
*height gain is about 1.25" without a lift required
*speedo will only be off by +3.4MPH at 70MPH. meaning my crawl gearing will not be as affected, with the AT I have crawl control. planning on going with BFG AT KO2's.
*the skinnier 255/75/17 should not rub, and avoid having to do the BMC mod.

    cons:
*heavier tire & wheel combo LESS MPG'S
    *slight loss in crawl ratio

I used the wheel/tire calculators here: there are the rims.
    https://www.bbwheelsonline.com/meth...7x9-6x5-5-6x139-7-38mm-offset-MR10579060538B/

any help would be great.. only laws in maine are that the rims/tires cannot exceed 1" from the fender flare.

with 255's? as I understand it every officer in maine will allow 1" past fender well so long as it is not excessive. I've seen plenty of trucks with 35" SS boggers... they were 4" or more past the fender flares, never get pulled over..

guess I'll have to look for less offset.. like -15 or -20...

trying to find a decent beadlock rim, also trying to stay on the DOT approved list MAINE HAS NO PROVISIONS FOR BEADLOCKS(however i would like to travel out of my state)...

only ones that I see are DOT approved are the internal beadlock type like the

just dont see it in a toyota lug pattern.

I’m running 265/70/17. Might be more than an inch.

that would definitly be passable in my state not to mention I have the get out of jail free Maine Department Of Corrections ID with me at all times. plenty of full sized chevy 1500's with 4" block lifts, and 35x13.5 boggers running around here.

a straight up 0 offset rim would work with the 255/75/17's too and at that point I could go up to the 285/75/17's and only worry about tire rubbing at full lock, Gearing might be a pain with that tire/weight.
