I thought I knew where I was going with a front bumper. Then this happened. I’ve always had a soft spot for hybrid bumpers.

That’s my now favorite bumper. I vote for this one

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Looks pretty sweet. I love the hybrid ones, in fact I am shocked I didn’t get one for my taco this go around. I had a metal tech hybrid that was on my fj80, and an AllPro Hybrid that I modified on my ‘85 Hilux.
If your seriously thinking of a hybrid, I agree with the others. It’s a nice looking one for sure. C4 has some unique looks to some of their bumpers.
I say go with it bro!

It’s certainly a possibility. If I do, you’ll probably see it before me since it’d be shipped to your shop....with your permission of course :anonymous:

Edit: I know it’s not your favorite, but I still really like the aesthetics of that T3....

Oh I do like the T3. I almost bought one.
I like everything those guys make. Their bumpers are killer, but I felt like the Demello Baja Alum w/ low profile hoop minus the extra supports was the exact same thing. In the end it was the connection I made with both Erick and Jason at Demello that made my decision. Mine is coming with the 30” cutout.

Oh gotcha. For some reason I thought you didn’t care for the T3 :notsure:

Dude it was down to the final minutes last night I was talking with Erick. He confirmed with Jason that he actually had an aluminum flat top of the older logo style that they could add a low profile hoop to.

I ultimately decided that if I end up going with a plate bumper that as similar as the Demello and the T3 designs might be, the T3 was still my top choice.

Don’t get me wrong though, I’m definitely gonna be drooling over yours when it arrives.

Anyone recommend a place to get a CMC done around ATL? I'm on the fence about getting a friend at work to do it (good welder but not familiar with this project), or going somewhere to get it done. I have the filler plates already.

Probably a dumb question, but is that an access panel for oil changes?

@marinemonkey does them and is in the area.
Yep that’s an access panel they put in there for oils changes, not a dumb question at all. That’s how you figure things out

Cool thanks! I kind of wanted someone who has done them before, since I've heard if you're not careful you can overheat the cab mount bushing.

I just assumed because I remember hearing about 3rd gens needing to remove the skid to change the oil.

Looks like others have already chimed in to answer your questions.

I’ll likely be getting @marinemonkey to do my CMC in the future. I also already have the plates, and might do the cutting myself. But I’d like someone than knows what they’re doing for that job to at least do the welding.

I thought about it. Just finished the primer coats so it’s not outa the question. Although I already have matte black paint. I think the quicksand skids could either look really cool, or really bad.

I know you've already purchased it, but if there's any way you could swap the matte paint for satin or semi-gloss it's much easier to clean than matte. I know they're skids and all but every molecule of mud spatter will attract to matte paint like a magnet.
