Thanks for the suggestion! Definitely like the look of those, and I trust 5.11 Tactical way more than Nike/UA/Galls in house brand.

for sure, and they are pretty lightweight too, dont make you feel like your walking around with concrete feet. I have heard the nike boots are shitty.

That helps for sure, lol. Would you trust their other boots?

And yeah, I haven't heard much good about Nike boots. I'm guessing people mainly buy them because they say Nike on the side and look cool. :D

If I’ve learned anything being a 350 lb. construction worker, it that the more you pay, the more you get. That seems to be my experience. Of course, I just know about work boots. Not the kind you need.

When you say public safety, do you mean you need black? and what are your uniform requirements?

I know they are a bit pricey, but if you can get away with it, Id recommend Salomon Forces in black. Im not a fan of goretex in boots, it makes my feet sweat and then colder. So the non goretex.

the nike boots and the UA boots are garbage and will wear out faster than you expect. The oakley boots lasted me 2 months on deployment, so i dont recommend those either. I have seen that Merrell started making them, havent tried them.

I have never owned any other 5.11 boots besides that side zip model. but the last pair lasted me 4-5 years but I work in a windowless hole for work so im not exactly beating the shit out of them either.

I used to walk 8 miles minimum per shift in the salomons, plus wore them hiking and everything else. I work in a hole now, and still buy them.

Lmao. And that’s just a quick couple of pics. To see it in person is completely different. I have lots of extras I’m getting rid of if you want to dip your toes in the game.

    A thing or two...
Great mod day at @BFRT_King Ranch's house today. His truck was looking good when we wrapped up. I installed my new driver side tail light and Hypertech calibrator. The calibrator isn't working, so I'm rolling home with no speedometer. Luckily I've got an app on my phone that does GPS speed. I hit a deer leaving the mod day. No noticable damage. Just some fur in the fair lead. We got @ready6delta's slimline bumper and winch installed, and it looked great.

Back on the road. Still 45-60 minutes to go. Just stopped for some food real quick.

I'm a fan of Red Wing boots.

I equate getting into the patch game as being just as addicting and costly as cigarettes, without the cancer

Bro if I could quit Copenhagen I’d be good. I mainly stick with one maker now. And if I do t like it I do t get it. Once I sell the ones that will never go in my truck I’ll make some good $$ and put it towards upgrades. Lol
