    So I don’t have access to a windows laptop. I’m holding out for the handheld. God knows when that’ll be available... My question is does the handheld come with the software pre installed and or does it have WiFi access for future uploads ( in lue of a laptop) or do I still need to find a windows laptop to plug the handheld in for the initial and future software updates?

    I have a Mac too. I just used bootcamp to run Windows 10 on my Mac, super simple. :)
    No use in waiting for the handheld when you could be tuned now! I’m sure it’s cheaper this way too.

    There have been many good suggestions for cheap tuning computers mentioned in this thread. At the bottom of the page there is a banner of "Products Discussed" that you can find most of them in.

    I have suggested the Lenovo T430 to several people. I own two of these (not from this seller) that I use regularly and are more than adequate. There are of course other cheaper options.

    The tune and software amounts to almost nothing. Majority of space is windows. All the tunes and software is under 100 MB
