Exactly, the midsized truck market is a growing segment.

I cannot tell you how many guys / gals I know that own trucks that have no need for them (don't use the bed maybe more than once a year, don't offroad, etc.). If I didnt use my bed every weekend, I'd be in an AWD performace vehicle or Rubicon (don't even care about reliability).

    If I didn't need a truck I'd be in a '69 GT Veloce.

We'll see. They said the same thing with the Coloranyon twins... for the first three quarters of the year. The Ranger has been in production since October 2018, according to one of the commentators.

While walking, I saw my 1st Ford Ranger in the US today ... and it looked nice. I drove one in Thailand and they are Ok.

Only one thing would make it better ??? ...... (If it was a Toyota :))

On the Grand Tour this week the Ranger kicked the VW trucks ass on a wet grass hill climb, they also had the Mercedes truck.
The Ranger looked pretty good on the show.

Had my first chance to see the new Ranger in person last week at the Houston Auto Show. Nice looking truck, I thought it was kind of soft looking. The only truck you could sit in sat somewhat lower than my 2nd gen Prerunner, or my son’s 3rd gen OR Sport, so it was a bit easier to get in and out of. Nice interior as far as I could tell.

I’d wait until at least summer to judge sales numbers. It’ll take a while for the supply chain to fill up with the new trucks and for buyers to find a good selection on lots. I noticed most of the XLTs that have arrived out of the first batch are already sold but the higher end Lariat packages are staying on lot, probably similar to how Limited Tacoma sales take a different buyer.

I swung by a local dealer on Friday to take a look at one in the flesh. They had two arrive on Tuesday and both were gone by the time I rolled in.
The manager said come back in a month as they are getting a few "truckloads" in...
I'm not in the market, just curious. My '13 taco has only just broken in @116k miles, so 2022 is the year for me to start looking and hopefully by that time Toyota will have a new gen out and all the issues on the GM, Ford and Jeep will be sorted out..

Reminds me of the sport trac expeditions. I actually like the outside look, less so then the Tacoma but I think it looks good. That said I really don’t care for the interior design

I'm not a big fan of these next gen trucks. A '13 Taco 4.0 still seems pretty good in comparison.
