I was at SFO today as well! I didn't see the "smallest plane on the ramp" though.

I met Jimmy in 1990 at a 12th AF event. I worked in the basement of the 12AF HQ, and we got to be in a formation for when he came by to visit. OLD dude, and you could sense history covering him like an aura. We were in awe of him.

12AF declared a week of commemorative events when he passed away.

    That was great!

I have not seen the Dogfights series before. Now I have something interesting and historical to watch!

    Thanks.

Some new planes in the field house this week. Anyone else ever shut down an active runway due to a flat? :anonymous:

If I had all the monies, I would buy those. Or just one. They embody fun (IMO).

This was from last week before they took the supermarine out to the hanger.

It's simple because there's no real identifying parent company other than it being government own. This aircraft was under 24/7 escort by multiple MOD's (manager on duty) with crew onboard the whole time which they were not allowed to leave the aircraft.

Coworkers and I were joking saying FBI, NSA, DEA, or whichever 3 letter organization is here for someone. Maybe they were?

...^^^... Just a guess here ... but Western Global is a modern day Southern Air Transport to me.

Those guys carried a lot of fancier ordinance in the past.

Remember Eugene Hasenfus at Southern Air ?

Only N number. Let alone used the smallest size allowed by the FAA regulations.
