Does McMaster and Carr have one with the captive washer?

I've had three front t-case output shaft seal failures in the past 18 months. Still on the original rear output shaft seal.

Interesting, couldn't tell what they were since they have a ball joint but don't look like SPC or JBA. Looks like they might be in need of a refreshing though lol

So, went the local dealership today. Ordered the 3 T-case seals, the Trans out put seal, the bolts to mate the T-case to Trans (those were only 58¢ a piece by the way) the 4 nuts, bolt, washer for the front of the front driveline and the 4 nuts, washers for the back of the front driveline.

    $192

But... The only thing I need now is fluids.
(Going to order Auto shifter bushings too)

I talked to a trans shop my (a couple of my buddies recommend) about getting it flushed.

They suggested me just doing all the swapping etc and having the truck towed (AAA) to their shop where they can flush and the fill with Redline.

I didn't know redline makes ATF. I'm not sure I'd flush it if you don't know its history 100%. What color was the fluid you drained? And smells. Usually much safer to spill and fill unless you know the trans was well maintained and changed regularly.

The fluid is more red than black and doesn't smell burnt at all.

As far as flushes go, it's my understanding that there are different ways to do it. One way has pressure behind it and that may not be a good idea in some applications. I asked about that, and he said what he means about flush is just in the sense that it should get the majority of old fluid replaced by the new fluid. It's not a "power flush" that he's talking about.

And yes Redline makes ATF. It's supposed to be pretty good stuff. It's what my wife is running in her Silverado.

Oh okay he's just gonna let it pull new fluid from a huge vat to replace it all at once. That's fine, if that kills it it was gonna die anyway and better now than on a trail in the middle of nowhere. I'll have to look into Redlines ATF. Gotta change my shift solenoids in my cruiser soon and was gonna do all the fluid, all freaking 19 quarts of it.

Oof yeah. Probably opt for the Transmax then since I already know Toyota transmissions like it and a gallon is $16
