    Hey all... I recently purchased my new-to-me Tacoma about 2 months ago. It's a 2016 LTD 4x4....

    I haven't put any work into it yet really, just a little tint and a toolbox...

    I will be removing the running boards as I think they look goofy and are too high and therefore awkward to use, but don't want to mount them any lower for clearance issues. Looking into hoop steps instead?

    I removed my running boards first thing. They're not low enough to be useful, just kind of in the way. 5'2" wife grumbled about it, but didn't really notice when they were gone.

    That's how I feel about them. I'm 5'4 and they're incredibly awkward for me to use.
