    In garage I have:

10" JL pro subwoofer in a box from dodge megacab
    Zapco 500.1 amp
GREAT stuff...but....doesnt mean it works here.

any ideas on what size box I'd need to get this in and hidden? Tempted to use old box, lay on floor (dbl cab 2008) and remove box when I need back seats for people...not often! Can a 10" be squeezed under seat with a custom box?

So Thinking is if I have to do any plastic mods to truck I will go with sub on floor. Get 2nd amp and new front speakers.... so bombs away with Ideas please????
    Thanks

Should be able to find a box to go behind the back seats for that 10 inch and amp. Just do a search. Lots on here.

With fiberglass I think you would be able to get a couple of 8's under the seats. Better off just talking to Marv about building you a box for behind the seat to use your JBL and very nice choice on the 500.1 Zapco!!

Ditto on talking to Marv... there's a bit of a wait, but I'm saving several hundred and the box is made to my desires!

    I will be installing:

    JL Audio 10W7v2
    Memphis Audio MCA-3004
    Memphis Audio MCD1000

The amps I had left over from my old car.

The box will fit behind the rear seats.

It will require that I remove the plastic behind the seats and one of the child seat hooks, but the amp design will still give me a tool shelf. The amps are about 19" long, so if Marv can get those to fit, you can get most anything. The only thing he warned me is that you need to be careful what size sub you use... for instance, the 10w3v3 has changed just enough to make it too deep!

You won't be disappointed with Mr. Marv. Although, I think he is backed up at the moment.

They build subs as well but only the Nightshade which is an SPL woofer. They did build the SD1 and the SD1v2 as well but they didn't sell well. Too bad too because they are fantastic woofers and were tested against some of the most popular subs that we use in the Tacoma (hint hint) and it come out being rated extremely well. I do have the 10" models of each in stock even though they have been discontinued. They will fit the Tacoma perfectly.

Will what fit in the double cab? If you are talking about Marv's baffles yes. The doors in the Taco do not accept a 6x9 without the baffles. As for not being ready to try the Sundown gear, lets just say they are winning competition after competition on the east coast. ;)
