yeah, I've been looking forward to it. BMT, Indoc, 3-4 more months of waiting then SERE school, then HALO and combat scuba (optional) PFT like I would pass up that chance. Its go big or go home for me anymore now days, hahaha

Due to a health issue that cropped up since I was discharged I have been unable to join the Coast Guard as a Reservist.

    Semper Fidelis. Semper Paratus.

When I did try to join the Coasties, the Recruiter (a former Marine from 3/3) told me that largest percentage of prior service folks in Coast Guard are former Marines. At least I was not alone in my desire to serve.

FYI: the only Indoc at the 342nd is the pararesuce indoc. the SERE course is not refered to as Indoc. its a selection course... it only 10 days. PJ Indoc is almost 10 weeks. they are 2 very diff courses

also freefall and combat dive are not part of the mandatory SERE instructor pipeline courses. after you receive your beret you can aply for those courses while you are at your duty station and wait until the AF sends your there.

i'm not trying to burst your bubble by any means, just want to makes sure you have the correct info going in to the program

    again, good luck

Thanks for correcting my terminology, that is what I meant the SERE "selection course" (a few of guys i got to know in the DEP just started Indoc for PJ and CCT so sometimes it jsut comes out as indoc instead of Selection course) and after SERE school freefall and combat dive being optional.
So no bubble being burst here. Thanks for clarification.
