It was a Navy joke, because we're always getting the shaft. No lube either.

Seriously made me lol. Best decision I made was getting those CH33 benefits settled and getting out.

OP - I’ve had great luck with BAMF and CBI.. both on time for sliders and skids respectively. Shipping is a bitch, but that’s the pain when you’re not local and having over 100# of awkward shaped steel shipped.

If CBI won’t work with you, I’d go with @EatSleepTacos suggestion and order with Mobtown. Beyond having good products, those guys live on the forums.

Over my head, my bad. Hahaha. Yeah it’s tough, I realize there are hurdles and difficulties that lead to longer lead times for a majority of armor companies but @EddyRRT places a high priority on communicating with his customers and being upfront about where he’s at with production and shipping CONSTANTLY. It was a very comforting thing for me to see and experience first-hand after seeing several people get the shaft from large companies. There is a degree of trust needed when putting lots of money down on a product not to arrive (whether it be 3 weeks or 9 weeks) or more

Reading this thread makes me think the owners/management of CBi are being a little too tight with their money on multiple levels:

    1. Their tubing bender was down - if metal fabrication is your livelihood, you better have a risk mitigation plan for that situation (either secondary equipment or contract with a local shop to cover you until your equipment is fixed).
    2. Extremely late orders - an apparent lack of a system to keep track of backlog. Even an Excel spreadsheet would serve the basic functions required.
    3. Lack of communication/false promises - not enough customer service personnel. Another indication of micro managing the bottom line.

My guess is they are over marketing themselves beyond their capacity, didn't account for or have not reacted to the extra business from Pelfreybilt shutting down, or something else that is not apparent yet to the public.

CBI has been bragging a bunch on Instagram on the launch of all their Chevy ZR2/Colorado products. Seems like that is just what they need, an entirely new market to piss off...

I bought my Prinsu toprack right after CBI bought them, took forever but I got my rack. I decided to go elsewhere on all future purchases. So far, my RCI skids and BAMF slider orders have been smooth. My RCI skids showed up as promised, no issues. Don’t have the sliders yet, but knew I was going into a 14-16 week lead time when I bought them on a group buy. Jerry at BAMF has beeen quick to respond when I’ve asked for status. Should have them in a few weeks.

@BortisYeltzen another good point I forgot to bring up. With Chevy and Ford coming back with legitimate competition for the tacoma , CBi needs to limit their options or expand their workforce. Classic over extension of their capacity.

It’s possible that they’re just behind on sliders.

Y’all need to chill on this mob mentality. Pelfreybilt stopped delivering everything. I got full skids just a few months ago on time. I know of others having received bumpers recently as well.

Contact them again, and even let them know you’ve posted here. They don’t come on the forums much.

Another nod to @EddyRRT at SOS Offroad Concepts. All my armor is SOS, sliders, bumpers, and skids, and I couldn't be happier with the level of quality and customer service he has provided.

Ordered my steel cbi t3 through tacomabeast and got it within a reasonable time frame...RCI sliders and alum skid also. Same thing. No problems with long super long waits. Maybe 4 months total for everything

Sucks to hear man. At this point in time, i find it hard to buy a quality bumper from a good company that doesnt give you the run around. Its hard to find a company these days that has both qualities

The auction company will let you check out the warehouse. I know it’s pretty screwed up seeing all that product, and you didn’t get your stuff.

    Workin' on it....
Just an aside, but if any of you are looking for front bumpers, @At The Helm quoted a 4 week lead time and it was delivered in 4 weeks. Also, just put a deposit down and balance was paid when it was palletized and ready to ship. I appreciate both his commitment to shipping on time and his practice of deposit followed by balance rather than everything up front. At least the risk is split between both parties that way on a high dollar order.

Idk man.. contacting a company multiple times over 5 months with them having your 1k of hard earned money is a failure on someone’s side. Customer service is what keeps loyal customers loyal
