Agreed, the consumer can only do so much, real change will have to be to our current infrastructure and big business practices along with some societal norms, over consumption of red meat, etc. Unfortunately I feel like we are just gonna run the current course until we are fucked / in a shitty situation, hell look at our current government. But thats for another thread topic.

It maybe just the angle but it appears the center rectangular/squarish assembly that houses the airbag is a bit smaller and doesn't sit as low between the two adjacent vertical steering columns. Also the Toyota logo appears different, looks like one oval cover vs. the current design. In any case maybe I'm looking too hard for something that isn't there, but we'll all find out soon enough!

Speaking of the steering wheel, maybe they'll have fixed the 2nd biggest complaint of all Tacoma owners (behind the tranny for you poor AT guys)... the Volume Up/Down and Next/Prev Track buttons! They could finally swap them to the directions that make more sense.

While I agree they should be the other way around, there is no way that's the second biggest complaint over the seats (comfort, lack of proper adjustments, lack of power, etc.).

I'm about 3k in and I am mostly used to it now. Still occasionally catch myself about to push the wrong button when I want to adjust the volume, but usually I'm ok. You're right though, if they changed it now and I got a new one, I'd probably be completely discombobulated.

Ok Ok, can we agree on THIRD most common complaint then?

Biggest complaint I have is the monthly payments.

lol I honestly don't know - I don't see it bought up very often. It should be switched though.

I've had the truck for over three years, and I'll still, on rare occasion, accidentally change the channel instead of the volume. So I can see where some folks are coming from. lol

100%, they could easily put in a bigger engine with more torque and still get the same mpg.
A bigger 6 like the 4.0 or a small V8. A mode switch for economy, towing/power and normal.
Toyota is behind the curve for turbos but turbos are proving to be the most efficient and powerful right now, the Ranger will prove that.
Or come out with an efficient supercharger or turbo for the 3.5 and a tuneable ECU.

I’d be more satisfied if they made the steering wheel with more range to telescope. I’m used to the volume buttons etc.

Good catch, it is indeed different looking and makes sense, I got a survey back in the Fall about steering wheel control placement, specifically volume, etc. I'd bet its a new steering wheel with different button placement.

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
Any chance they are bringing back a standard cab since there don't appear to be any roof ridges?

Long shot....Extra long but just thinking outside the box.
