Ha! Mine does them too. But I like to try and at least help her out a little with cleanup, bags just make it one less step to worry about.

Wife cooks lots of chicken dishes in it. I was very surprised at how well it does. Took her a while to learn it.

I'm not a huge fan of mine yet. It works well for some things, like speed-cooking a whole chicken or making a quick batch of squash soup, but for some stuff it's a no-gain situation vs just using a regular cooking method (like rice; between heat up, cook time, and cool down it actually takes a few minutes longer than just cooking it on the stove top). And I made pork chops in it the other day and they not only took longer than my usual method (because of the heat up and depressurization times), but they came out a little rubbery compared to my usual method.

Here's the recipe I followed, (minus the liquid smoke because I didn't have any):
    https://recipeteacher.com/best-damn-instant-pot-boneless-pork-chops/

Normally I sear 1" chops on the stove top in a cast iron pan for +/-2 minutes per side (until they're golden), then transfer them to the oven on low 'broil' for 6-7 minutes, and then take them out and let them rest in the pan for a few minutes. They come out juicy, tender, and awesome that way, without getting chewy or rubbery, and I've been doing it that way for years so I've more or less got it perfected. But, everybody raves about what a great job an instapot does, so I was a little disappointed, lol.

Oh forgot to post this here last night. No one was home to turn the pot to warm so they got a couple extra hours of low but it was still pretty tasty.

Ya it takes some time to figure it out. I'm still learning but I don't get to use it all that often right now.

I almost asked if it was Italian sausage. I didn't want to insult the makers of the sausage if it did turn out to he andouille.

It finally happened. SOMEONE decided to use my cracked crockpot after being instructed not to and SOMEONE cooked bbq sauce directly to the heating surface. It looks I need to buy an entirely new one. What recommendations do y’all have?

Completely unrelated side note, my wife is being strangely nice today...
