Been wanting a new shifter as well.

So I picked up SDHQ sliders, mostly because it was local pickup and on sale. But there isn't a single video online on installation. Anyone here install these before and have any tips before I attempt it?

No install video, but we do have install instructions below or you can download here - https://sdhqoffroad.com/products/16-current-toyota-tacoma-sdhq-built-rock-sliders
Two people will help the install go smoothly.

    I didn't and I should have.
I walked by it , it's just as you come in.
Then I turned around because I had to see it again and up close. The Red Brembos to stop that beast.
So many details. It's just one you would want to own.

My in law told me it has carbon fiber wheels on top of the splitter, lip, & everywhere else. Sounds like a badass car. & over 700hp? Definitely a fun ride

Sadly some of the off-brand Chinese mud terrains sold at Mexican tire shops are even louder...

This talk about rally the other day has got me looking for a fix again.
I'm seriously considering registering for an SCCA RallyX event in the Taco.

It would likely kill off my bilsteins though so I would need to get those Foxes soon. Feb 16th is the next one which I don't have time to prep for, but there's March 16 and April 13 races scheduled too.

Def give it a try and let me know if you have any questions. I raced my 13 DCSB in SCCA events in Alaska, both rallycross and ice racing. It’s a challenge in a truck, but it’s fun as hell!

Thanks man. I bet it's a hoot in a pickup- definitely max style points even if you don't place well. ;) At the very least the Taco has been very communicative in terms of input and feedback, aside from the auto transmission (which I will probably set to S4 ECT) it's not at all vague or numb in terms of braking and steering.
Looks like I would fit in "Prepared" class since I have headers and will be replacing UCA's. Would be nicer to run in stock classes but I'm just doing it for fun anyways.

Gotta look for a helmet too.
