Looks killer! Nice rig

 

Got it installed today! Not too many hiccups to report. I put washers under the cbi ditch light bracket & chopped off part of the mounting bracket to clear the snorkel. We knocked two snorkel installs out in 4.5hrs. The cruiser 100series was from Amazon, I think the same manufacturer.

I had to do the same thing to my ditch light bracket.

I was gonna same the same thing! Only thing I had to do was adjust/slide the pod to the right more with the elongated hole in the bracket

 

**EDIT** Rago fab brackets clear the snorkel just fine. Had to move the pod to the right so it wouldn't hit the snorkel when the hood is opened fully.

 

So cbi brackets need a new hole drilled and the bracket trimmed? Damnit haha

 

Why not stick one of those pre-filters bags inside the top before the cap piece. Will help keep the debris out and also flicks away water.

 

Yeah, I loosened the fender, stacked some washers under the bracket & it still was in the way. Chopped it and left the washers cause I didn’t want to take it all off. Don’t be bother with the washers, just relocate your light & chop the dang thing.

 

I'd give it a try, just worried about air restriction especially with the extra demand via the supercharger...if the airflow isnt adequate it'll cause a lean condition under throttle which is bad news for boosted motors

 

I can see it now... gunnin' it down the 405 and all of a sudden you hear a loud sucking sound and just catch a glimpse as the bag is sucked down the snorkel tube into the airbox which screws with the MAF sensor and sputters the engine dead...

What’s the general consensus for the oval recess for the ‘brand’ sticker? I scanned it and made an oval for the vinyl cutting machine my wife has. Not sure what to put there though. I can only do single colors at this time and I do not know how long a piece of vinyl would last on the black plastic.

I'd be interested in putting a different sticker in that "4x4" sticker spot, I left that sticker off intentionally since I don't really care for how it looks. A Toyota emblem would be cool

Look like there was a bit of room on the template.

 

I doubt it...the 3.5" hole isn't very big, dunno if you'd be able to work the tubing through it with the two pieces together like that.

 

Well I’m definitely gonna try, if not maybe having stretches of the tube will help me out a bit.


I had to use a butter knife to get it over the last little bit.

 

Just something quick. I’ll give it some thought in the next week or so. I wish I could ‘wrap’ text to fit the oval but this program won’t do that.

I’m not liking on it too much though.
