TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Not 100% certain since I bought my 04 in 2016 and the supercharger was installed by the previous owner, the Toyota dealer didn't have any info on it. But, the truck only had 24k miles on it so I predict the supercharger had the same (probably less) assuming it was new when installed. Currently at 76k miles on the truck so I figure around that much on the supercharger.

 

Wow that is a surprisingly low price. Unfortunately I won’t make Laughlin in June. Hopefully actually doing rubicon in July which is why we were in Laughlin last year because rubicon got cancelled. Starting a roll cage in the spring, so that’s my big truck spending for this year.

 

Just pulled the trigger on URD headers. Has anyone waiting on their order received an update on the powder coat holdup?

EDIT: I wouldnt be concerned about additives to the main fuel tank. I have never heard of a premature bearing failure due to a 7th injector.

I currently have a 255 Walbro fuel pump.

Would the consensus be to swap to a 320 fuel pump or I’m I safe to stay with the 255??....

 

255 Walbro can handle any TRD blower setup with room to spare

 

I got the 2.7 and will be staying on my 255lph pump. I have the deatschwerks but should be the same as the walbro.

 

I got 2.6 and 255. Plenty of fuel.

 

It's safe. I have ran BG intake cleaner solution through the blower before. It's best to introduce it through the brake booster port while you are running the engine at 2000rpm. Make sure you slowly meter the amount you put in as you go.

Muuuuuuuuch better.

I still need to shim the axle to get completely vibe free, but my main issue has been resolved.

I do need to borrow your u-joint tool again, so I can break the shaft down and stow it away. I'm hoping a recall will eventually happen...

Plus, we need to do lunch again soon.
