    My shell is indispensable to protecting valuables from the two legged critters and keeping items safe from the weather. Some don't like the extra weight, my wife/son say it doesn't look like a truck with it on (traitors) but I really like mine. Only issue can be carrying oversized items in the truck but I have a trailer for that. Also not the best for carrying an RTT. I have rack on mine and did so a couple of times but did not like the top heavy feeling on the truck or if your truck is lifted almost needing a ladder to reach everything for setting it up. Issue with bed racks if they might weigh as much as the shell but they are the best thing for a RTT in most circumstances. I have mine on a trailer and only issue I have is when I want to leave it somewhere. That said my trailer has a special pivoting hitch that no one is likely to have to easily hook it up and haul it away.

    Fire (controlled burn) is the correct answer. Dealt with those before on my family property and only good way to get rid of them. After that you are going to be using a grub hoe or something that can dig out the roots to keep them from coming back. They truly suck trying to get rid of them but a controlled burn is best way. Forest Service is likely to come out for free to advise.

    I don't doubt that's the best way, just a little more risk than I'm comfortable with. Since it's only a couple hundred feet, I may just try to tackle it with some yard tools and run over it a bunch with the Polaris. Will take forever, but that's my skill set/budget haha.

    I doubt this will be a cure all, unless I ride on it alot...alot alot. Still may not get all the roots though. Thanks to all for the advice. Will post some pics once it's Tacoma worthy.

    Yea my wife doesn’t like the idea, but I think she’d live. That’s also my plan is if it’s oversized just use my trailer, no plans for a rooftop tent just thinking it’d be nice to store hunting stuff/cooler rather than the back seat.

    I need some help with my solenoid for my aux fuse panel. I’m using this solenoid.

    I need to know which fuse(s) under the hood are switched power. I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find an answer.

    Also I am pretty sure that the solenoid is crap. Even when I hold a wire from the battery to the solenoid switch I still don’t get power through it.

    HELP :annoyed::censored::censored:

    Is the relay case grounded?

    Not ground switched.

    Doesn’t seem to be a ground issue either. Even when we hold a wire on the negative battery post and solenoid body we get nothing.

    If the relay is grounded and you have 12v going to the small terminal it should be working.

    You should be able to hear the relay click when you power the small terminal

    Beautiful weekend where I should have been golfing and I was stuck inside doing finish work in my kitchen on a little breakfast nook. Fortunately, it'll get painted today and it'll be done. Also it helps with the resale value of the house so I'm good with that. If all goes as planned, I will be having a moving party in early fall:fingerscrossed:

    Staying over here where I am, just down the road a bit. We are actually looking to build in one of the new neighborhoods. But it's literally less than 2 miles down the road.
