Changed my sparkplugs & PCV valve for the first time since purchasing in December 2017.

This was a very easy job thanks to the forum writeups! The truck is 2008 & has 135k miles. I noticed that they are not the original plugs (because they were all denso). Saving money by doing little jobs like this feels SO GOOD.

The same shit everyone else has.
Got the 285s on for good today. Ran outta day light fuckin with things. Didn’t take any good pics.

    upload_2019-2-3_20-40-56.jpg

Replaced the 1/4” top plates with 3/8” top plates. Got another 1/4” or so of lift outta the new top plates. Front is right at 3” of lift now. Super happy with it.

Tweaked the alignment again. Reset the SPC ball joints to setting “E” to drop the caster down to 3.4ish*. Rides much better. Not as harsh as it was at 4.4ish*. Too much caster causes the suspension to bind I feel. I still wanna tweak it a bit more to get the passenger side a bit lower to account for the crown in the road.

Trimmed a little bit of plastic fender flare and moved the front fender liner forwards a bit. The 285s clear perfectly now. No immediate cab chop is necessary, which makes me super happy. We’ll see what needs trimmed after some off road trips.

    Reset the VCS.

Also, set the front tire pressure to 36psi and rear pressure to 32psi. Gonna see how that rides.

I’m gonna try to refit the front mudflaps tomorrow. They might just fit with a bit more trimming.

Does the tire block the right rear taillight? What size tire do you have on the swing out?

First time i've heard of gringing paint off the climbing rail. What's the reason for that?

It helps keep paint out of the running gear and also allows for more bite on the rail.

    This and that...
Currently running this oil too. I was a bit skeptical with the 15k number but it was a good deal. Mine is about the darkness at 5k. Still full on the dipstick too. Will be changing next week to Pennzoil Platinum. Heard good things about PurePlus addative, plus it was another good deal.
