Haha, yea too late. Just finished painting today. I put a few coats of protective enamel as a final coat. It was fiat as well, but did add some ‘sheen.’

If they get real manky, I’ll just pull them off and hit them with the pressure washer.

Thanks for the tip though

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

I might be going to 285s sooner than I’d planned.

They might have those on sale, go check.

I’ve heard good things about the DC. I personally have no need for a mud terrain. Although they do look good.

Keeping muds on the 1st gen, the extreme country in a 295 is only around 58lbs. Not bad for a tall 33

Headed up towards Unicoi this weekend for a conference and may have some free time... I'll be taking the truck just in case, any decent trails in that area other than forest service roads? Nothing too gnarley since I likely won't be with any other vehicles.

Anyone seen the new Baja Designs Laser Series? Only a couple videos have been posted of a Baja buggy with one and another guy sent his 30” light bar in the be retrofitted by BD.

Anyway, seems like some new tech on the horizon for lights.

Anyone with 4Runner Pro wheels that are in good condition interested in trading for a like condition set of black 17" SCS SR8s?

This is more of a feeler. Just seeing whats out there locally.

I will trade you a set of BFG KM2s 35x12.5s r15 on American Racing Mojave II ;)

I think I am going with a bigger set of wheels and smaller tires on my FJ40.

    Haha

Although I can visualize how BA that would look on my truck, I think that whole 35s on 15s may present a myriad of issues.

    Same crap everyone else got

I miss having a rig with a 15 inch wheel and a 35 inch mud terrain tire. Something about just having that much rubber under you made you feel a little more bad ass haha.

    Most importantly, your brakes....

I don't think modern day Tacomas can go smaller than 16" wheels

Next time I do brakes, I'm thinking seriously about doing the 4Runner/GX rotor/caliper/pad/splash shield upgrade. It just requires that you have at least 17" wheels.

Nope they won’t ever fit a modern day truck , unless you straight axle it. It was merely a joke, as I was about to photoshop them on your ride for fun.
