He hasn’t responded yet but is there any negative at all to going with one of the original dongle kits instead of what is recommended now with the Tactrix cable?

And also I guess I would need to just contact Matt directly about getting my own license only? Since nothing mentions it on his website.

No real negatives. I actually prefer the dongle as I am not tied to a single computer for tuning. If my laptop craps out I can still just put the software on another and plug in the dongle. The tune is 100% the same regardless.

Also yes, just contact Matt and he will be able to take care of you.

Anybody had an issue with 1.05 causing your gauge cluster to show a bunch of abs / brake / traction control errors? My speedo is also fluctuating all over the place. Did something else go bad on my truck or is this a possible tune issue?? Only happens after the truck idles for awhile as far as I can tell.

No I haven’t. Should I return to stock then flash again or just overwrite the tune? TIA

There's no difference between flashing to stock vs flashing the tune again. They're maps. One does not overwrite less than another.

I'd recommend following Mat's updated guidance regarding flashing since apparently some trucks' ECUs don't dump prior data, and try flashing 1.05 again, start the truck to verify a successful flash, turn it off immediately, disconnect battery for 10mins, and then reconnect and start the truck and idle

My traction control light turns on a lot but that’s because it’s snowy here and the tires will cut loose lol

Yes sir! Should receive it on Wednesday or so of this week. But since I already have a service appt late this week for blower motor recall and TSB I figure I won’t be able to load the tune till the weekend. Since Ive decided this truck looks too damn good for me to sell I may as well make the most of it.

And to hell with taking it one by one on the mods. I also want to do the ADM and hammer hangers but they’re all sold out! And the billet shift knobs aren’t taking any more orders till late this month! So looks like I’ll be waiting a bit to see what all the hype is about with some of these others

Woot!!! glad you got it. About that ADM, grab a 12mm and 10mm wrench/sockets some brake fluid and a dremel and get to it. ;)

ETA It will probably take a few days of back and forth with Mat @OVTune to get the license and tune files,so I wouldn't hold your breath on loading the tune this weekend ;)

Quick question. I ordered the software package by mistake instead of the whole kit. Where can I get the cable from?
