3rd Gen Gear Binding in 4wd

Is excessive gear binding in 4wd normal for the 2017's? I have a TRD Sport DCLB. I'm getting binding even on 90 deg. turns.

In case you're serious, it will bind af especially on pavement. Even more so on dry pavement, or surfaces with a lot of traction.

 

I am very serious. I love this truck and I want to make sure my baby is alright. I have a Sequoia and a 4runner and while the binding in 4wd is there with those two vehicles, it's much more dramatic with my Taco. Thoughts?

 

It’s normal. If it’s binding turn 4wd off before turning that sharp.

 

Are you driving on pavement? Especially dry?

 

No, there was @ 1.5" on the ground.

 

Oh, OK. I have nothing to compare, mine was binding while off-roading, so I know it is a thing ... Sorry I don't have any advice for ya

 

Do you have a lift? Are you at full lock when it binds?

 

I do not have a lift. I can feel the binding by just making a left or right turn. I am nowhere near full lock when the binding starts.

 

You have too much traction which causes the bind. The solution is to be in 2wd, make easier turns or press the gas and force the tires to slip.
