So I was pretty excited when I got my weathertechs for my 2004 in the mail. However, the drivers side looks a little off and the hole from the pin or whatever holds it in place is definitely not lined up. Can somebody PLEASE post a pic of how there weathertech fit in their Tacoma so I can compare. Thanks...

Do you have a double cab?

I read somewhere that in the double cab tacos the fitment is a little off but in the regular and xcab models the fitment is right on.

I have the 2 door extended cab. I was under the impression that the ones I ordered were going to be right on.

A little off topic I just bought a pair of front Husky linners and on the driver side they said to remove the clip that holds the OEM mat in place, don't know if Weathertech advises the same or has a hole in the matt for the clip. The Husky's seem to fit pretty good.

    Mine is a acess cab.

Yeah they do but my pin just falls out if I put it in so I just took it out and the liners stay in there like a glove. No movement.

Good luck with sorting it out.

i tried this already. the weathertech digifit mats do not fit the double cab. i called and they flat at said that, even though the box they came clearly stated it did. you will be dissappointed if you order that style. they reason his fit was because they were not the weathertechs. check it out, there were pics posted in the old group buy about this too.

about the access cab, sounds like you got the wrong one. happend in the group buy as well

What? Okay. So there was a problem in the past and I didn't hear about it. I'm pretty disappointed. I don't have time to deal with this but it looks like I have to in order to get the product I thought I ordered.

i was really dissapointed in the group buy. some people didn't care that the weather techs fit like ass on the double cab. for that money, it better fit! either way, i sent them back, got money back, then bought some husky liners. very pleased now.

they claim it fits the access and reg cabs just fine. there shouldnt a problem with yours, the dc was the only issue.

This is what I'm talking about guys...

You can see the gap between the mat and the floor board...

Definitely not fitting like a glove...

I also tried to get a pic showing how the pin or hook or whatever doesn't line up...

Am I crazy or is this how they are supposed to fit. Just doesn't look right to me.

Also, my pin or hook or whatever holds the floormat into place was missing along with my floormats when I bought the truck. Anybody got a part number for this?

Or a picture of the floormat hook or pin would help. Weathertech claims that this will fit but I am skeptical.

    Thanks for all the help.

the hook is several inches long. it plugs into that hole in the carpet and extends out a little bit. the two holes will not line up if thats what you are asking. pm an email and i'll take a pic with my phone if you want

old thread but i have a few suggestions since i just installed my weathertechs...

your local dealership should give you the hook for free, especially after all the pedal/floormat issues. i picked up a couple for free the other day.

the issue you're running into is that the floormat hits your left seat bolt. if you look at your passenger mat, the mat is grooved for the seat bolt... driver side is not. in my truck, it's off by a hair... obviously enough to bother me but there's not much i can do. i'd rather not try to mod it. although, my clip actually fits.

    hope this helps... GL!
