Fox 2.5 fronts, 2.0 rears w/resi, Dakar med, Spc uca’s. Oh yes, nice bit of rubbing. Pretty much only in reverse while turning. Minor plastic trimming,cmc. It’s all good now, even offroad. Love this set up

 

Tolerable as a DD until you get a CMC?

 

I had my alignment guy set my wheels forward a bit. Figured it’d be easier to trim plastic than chop the frame. And it did rub more in the front than on the cab mount for me but it did get on there occasionally. Either way you’re prolly gonna need a cmc to run anything that says 285. Mostly the rubbing on the plastic just drove me nuts until I could figure out exactly what was rubbing. Had my wife run the truck in reverse in circles while I watched and threw a 2x4 under the wheels. It is tolerable. You will find yourself turning the radio down in certain situations listening for the slightest rub. Took a while but my situation is golden now.

 

The ground clearance would be great.

I would love to go with a 285/70/17 but I really don't want to do a cab mount chop. I might have enough room with the 2inch lift and TotalCahose UCAs with the 275 setup.

I tested it off road a bit and it’s not bad without the cmc it’s really only rubbing the front of the fenderwell right now which can just be cut away, just doing the cmc for hard reverse turns and would be nice to have extra room in there. It hasn’t ripped the rally armor mudflaps off yet so that’s good

 

sorry all for n00b questions: would you choose 265 or 285 a pure off-road vehicle? I live about 3 hours highway away from the national forests, where I head most weekends. I do not use the truck as my DD. I'm reticent to chop etc but I would do it if I get a material improvement in performance. Interested in thoughts from those that have run both off-road. Thank you!

Looks great man, are those fuel shoks? 285s? Any way you could get a shot from the front/back to see the effect of the offset? thanks dude!

Yeah those are Fuel Shok's in bronze. I'm running 295/70r17 yokohama geolander mt's. I'll see about getting a front and rear pic posted up today sometime. currently this is the best I can do.

How are you liking the Yokohama’s so far? I’m thinking about getting a set. Debating between those and the STT Pros

I have the same rims that’s how I know lol

 

I'm enjoying them, haven't had the off road yet but on pavement they are smooth with better wet pavement traction and only slightly louder than my old BFG ATs. They are kinda heavy at 63 lbs each.

Whenever you go offroad let us know how much you rub! Have you already done a CMC? Those things are BEEFY
