We do a good amount of grits but I have to say I prefer cheese grits, I guess I’m just cheesy at heart. :)

Brown rice & Jasmine rice......both kicked up a notch to taste more like proper sushi rice.

Shicken breast was sliced, spiced, breaded and skillet-fried up proper-like.

That's just straight up pure apathy. No one in their right mind would continue to let the cheese stay that way.

SouthWest meets the Far East for breakfuss 'round here this morning.........

........I was hopefully able to cook my way outa the doghouse and back into the bride's good graces.

Highly relevant to my goals......ah yeah !!!!!!!

Fired up the skillets and worked with the usual suspects.

    Then.......this old dog got crafty.

Hearty tortillas, eggs, shredded cheeses, JD Hot, bacon and salsa. Rolled 'em up and tossed 'em in the oven for a few minutes.

Then.....I began to handle the Far East aspects.

My SouthWest & Far East breakfast had no official recipe....just an exploration embarked to get a proper breakfast.

Had some egg roll wrappers left from dinner the other night. Layed out the same ingredients as the burritos, sans salsa.

Microwaved a bag of "superfoods steamers".....quinoa, peppers, brown rice, edamame and flax seeds with something else I couldn't identify. Stuff was delicious. I'll be grabbing more of this. 5 min side dish.

Ran a plate upstairs to the bride for breakfast in bed.

Walked down the hall a bit and waited.....listening........can't repeat what I heard her say.....but it had me pumping my fist.

Bamsucka.....I'll be back in the bed tonight and not sleeping in the recliner.
