ok guys I have serious issues now. Attempted to re flash as instructed. The flash then failed and now my truck won't start. I'm dead in the water over here! it has to be a computer issue as all the warnings on my dash show up and then go away very abruptly. Even tried to flash to a previous known working version, 1.04, and it failed... HELP!

In the meantime in case he doesn't see this, review the flashing procedures, make sure you didn't miss a step, have the key in the correct ignition position, etc, and send an email to Mat's support email:

    Start with these steps:

    Turn truck off completely.
turn truck ON, prepare to flash
    Press "CLEAR DTC"
    then try to flash.
    If fails,
    unplug battery for 5 minutes
retry flash. Should take right away

    Mostly stuff I built.
Make sure you are NOT in a USB 3.0 port on your lap top. Look to see if it is blue. TACTRIX does not support the 3.0. Had that issue with my new laptop have to use a USB 2.0 hub to flash.

weird because I have always used this laptop to flash and have never had an issue. It does have usb 3.0 ports however. I am currently waiting for 5 minutes with the batt unplugged and then going to try to re tune per Mat's instructions.

Just tried with a USB hub, still no luck it appears that the flash fails at the "identification" stage.

Good luck. I’m sure you and Mat will figure it out. Maybe try a different laptop if all else fails. Seems like I remember someone here or in the alpha thread that ended up having to use a different computer.

Did you also try a different usb *CABLE*. I have had weird problems with devices due to a bad cable.

What is this TSB for manuals? A copy to link and is it an upgrade to an 6/18 built MT?

Ive never have a problem out of it, its the cable that came with the tune... I am now using a usb hub to connect both the purple dongle and the OBD connector. The real problem I'm having is the ECU will not clear out. I can drain power by disconnecting the battery, waiting, pushing brake pedal, and when I connect power again and turn the key on all of the errors are still on the dash.

I said in another post, but it’s not exactly new. But it is newer than 6/18. It came out after August, 8/18. See my other reply in this thread and I linked to the TW post.

I took like a two year hiatus from these forums so I said “new” because it was new to me but alot of folks on this forum are already aware.
