1/25/2019 - Went to @lilred95's shop and he got me setup with a new deck for the rear seat delete mod 2.0 aka the rear seat "flat bed" mod.

You going to do anything to cover the rear bins? I need to do this for my dogs but want my bins somewhat protected for storage from them. Havent decided how I want to do it yet though. Lots of ideals in my head to make a good setup.

 

Currently I fill them with things i need to access quicker when we are out. So no plans yet but, I can see them just being removed all together and even more space could be had. You could use the deck to anchor the bottom part of some tough material and then drape it upwards over the bins maybe? I dunno since I dont have dogs but once you figure it out, let us all know since I want to get dogs eventually as well

 

Will do. Its currently my next mod once I can afford to do anything. I need better control of the dogs since adding a 2nd one. I need it to protect the items from them and their hair! A husky/gsd and Husky shed bad all yr round.

 

You gonna need a roomba for the truck hahahaha

They may shed, but those are both awesome breeds. GSD is on my list

 

A roomba would need emptied multiple times a day with my guys. I've had the Husky/gsd for around 1.5 yrs now and hes such a good dog, hes more husky(75%) than gsd(25%) and acts like it too! The new pup I've had about 3-4 months and is mpretty much full husky. He needs a lot of work and socialization still. He hadn't been given any of his shots before I rescued him. He loves people but gets scared of large groups and other dogs.

 

Right on. Sounds like with a little work, he will be all good!

My GF and I both want a different type of dog, so we will probably end up with 2. I dont know, its such a huge commitment and Im have a fear of it lol

 

2 is def a lot of work. Some days I question my decision on getting a second one but they are so happy to play and have each other it makes up for the rough days. I saw a lot of change in my older one when I brought home his new brother. Husky's are such pack animals having more than one is almost a must have. Possibly one of the harder dogs to train since they can be so independent. I cant really let them off leash out camping. I still have hope to be able to once they are a little older and get even better with training.

 

Right on, this is all great info. Maybe ill get some tax return and i could use that to get some dogs, i dunno

 

Or you could search rescues and pounds and rescue a dog or 2! Sorry I'm a big advocate for rescuing, both mine are and all my future ones will be also. Get what you want though because dogs are worth it regardless of being a rescue or from a breeder. Getting the dog you want is all that matters!
