Thank you for the encouragement everyone.

I've been promised to between very capable and caring people, and have no interested is "driving out of the line". I have done every condition of beach down at Corpus National Seashore to the 5 miles sign, in the sand, in the ruts, on the beach. FAR less scary that Hidden Falls mud!
I convince her that we have some fun, and nice hotels, I think I will be there!

Current job is pretty awesome, work 8 days , and 6 off. Work with a great bunch of guys who want to teach and pass on knowledge and I respect them a great deal for this.

What I am doing currently is something that was on very short list of jobs that I wanted to do growing up.

I had applied with this pyro company about 2 years ago and was passed over, as my experience (several hundrend shows over 20 years) was not enough at that time.

If this was an offer from the company I done most of my shows with the past 7 years I would jump on it. But this one had a few quirks to how they run that I was not fond of.

But as it stands, I will be staying with my current job. As the pay is great, and I am still moving up the pay scale. And the time off along with vacation time will allow me to shoot pyro for my preferred company. So I actually get the best of both worlds at the moment.

But if i get some random call from CDI saying they want me as blaster... not likely as demolition is outside my scope of knowledge. But one can dream

Planning on being there, hoping that a combination of airing down and a light foot will keep me from.getting stuck.

But what better excuse to spend some uber money on some traction boards...

Failing that, tow strap and someone to hook up to.

Seems like a good decision to me. The last job I had that I applied for was when I was 20 something. The rest, I made up as I went along!

Oh, I DO have a tow strap! And some shackles. @Nopro used one of said shackles to help me leave Hidden Falls! (and took the requested pic!)

If one is already in bunker, is bunker gear going to help when bunker buster hits? Hmm
