What is this steel insert you are referring to, and what does it do?

Didn’t @12TRDTacoma get the NST crank pulley recently?

The steel sleeve was added and incorporated for the NST crank pulley cause of the soft light weight aluminum scaring up and basically causing leaks.

I have it, that is correct. While I am not opposed to anything that is lightweight and good for faster revs, I have reason to ultimately believe that any gains provided by the lightweight pulley design are negated by the cast steel supercharger pulley attachment which bolts to the front because it weighs so much.

If someone has a spare supercharger crank pulley attachment it would be fantastic to get it created as a lightweight billet aluminum version or send it to a machinist so they can create a digital CAD file of the item.

As of right now there are no notable free revving gains with the NST pulley attachment while running the steel cast steel supercharger pulley attachment.

Any problems with the crank pulley leaking with the added sleeve insert?

There is a domino effect to getting a larger overdrive SC Pulley. You would also need a smaller fan pulley and smaller tensioner pulley for a proper fit

Do you only have the crank pulley or the other ones in the set as well?

I’d like a crank pulley for my 3UZ. If not just for the weight reduction. Combine it with a lightweight driveshaft and maybe I can drop a few steak dinners.

Personally if I’m doing one (crank) I’d just do them all. My only concern is the crank leaking. It sounds like it doesn’t though....

Sounds like they have it fixed, which makes it tempting. Even though I don’t really wanna go through torque the crank pulley, not to mention removing it haha.

Waste of time for my motor. Water pump pulley is cast into the pump housing itself. PS and alternator pulleys are only like 1” too.

So doing the crank would be pretty in depth....

Easiest thing ever for me. Remove serpentine belt, use bump method to remove crank pulley bolt, and it comes right off.

    Yes there is absolutely.

    Just the crank

It's fixed. I never torqued my crank bolt. I have removing and installing that bolt down to a science now without removing the radiator fan or the shroud off the truck. :D

    It's not horribly in depth.

U can't win, autocorrect fubars me often... I swore it off for a day being convinced it was all the phones fault.
The "day off", only lasted about three text messages. It seems I'm a total Jibberslanger without autocorrect.

Oddly, while using autocorrect, when I try and edit anything in a form/forum/site it turns shit totally anticounterslotchwise. It's like I'm better off highlighting everything, deleting, and starting over. Inserting one word, deleting one letter, or adding a comma writes an alien invasion story....automatically, go finger

URD sends you 6 of the proper shorter studs For the upper mounting locations, my lower stock studs were fine (2013) no road salt but I live a block from the Atlantic Ocean get a 8mm stud remover to get the uppers off the eternal torX heads on my stock ones sheared off and I had gobs of penetrant on them and invest in a 12mm stubby flex wrench and some 1/4 inch extensions and 1/4 flex joint extension. Good Luck
