    I mainly hang out here @ TW for my Taco 4WD / off-road fix. But I've got some 4runner questions. For whatever reason, my login @ toyota-4runner.org works in that I can login over there... but I cannot post, reply to existing threads, or start any new threads.

    Nor can I figure out how to PM any of the mods.

    If anyone here has a login over @ toyota-4runner.org and would be willing to contact the mods on my behalf (i.e. login: steve2267 ), I'd sure appreciate it.

    Thx.

    You verify your account via email?

    Honestly the site sucks, but the content is pretty good for write-ups and things. I wish more would migrate to 4Runners.com, but all the old gen stuff won’t of course, no point in reinventing the wheel I guess.

    FWIW... don't waste your keystrokes... I created a new account, rocket2267, got through my 15 posts, and am able to post once again over there. Would be nice to keep the old login, but c'est la vie.

    Wish more would come over here. You know get everyone on one forum type deal. Cause this one is dead for 4Runners.

    Oh, so it's OBE? The mods told me they'll get it straightened out with your old login, but sounds like it's no longer necessary.

    It would be nice to get the old login 'steve2267' back so I'm the same everywhere. But I've got a bunch of posts within the past couple days under 'rocket2267'. It may be too much a PITA for admins to monkey with databases and merge post owners yada yada.

    I had e-mailed them via the 'contact' e-mail at the bottom of the forum web pages, but have not seen a reply. I tried PM'ing them... but didn't seem to work -- maybe PM doesn't work when a newly registered member is in 15 post purgatory?

    What do you think? Let sleeping dogs lie?

    Let's see if they come through on their promise to get your "Steve" account to work - then go from there.

    @steve2267

    I went into our user management system to see what the issue is. I don't have privileges to change anything (mods don't), but what I can tell you is that your user status is showing "awaiting email confirmation" for the email steve@campt...........

    Also showing you have 0 posts. Did you create the account and never confirm the email?

    Dang... that's a good question. Not sure I've got my e-mails from that far back still kicking around. It is possible I failed to confirm...

    Doesn't look like I have any e-mails readily accessible from that far back. Can the admins kick the system and get it to cough up another confirmation e-mail? Or is that something I can do from the user registration window?

    @steve2267

    I believe if you change to a different email, it sends you another request. I'm not 100% positive on that though but maybe worth a shot.

    The odd thing I noticed though... is all the forum customizations I have done in the past seem to be there in my profile. Don't think I could have done those if the forum was "waiting" for e-mail confirmation.

    @JWaldz , thx for the help. I changed my e-mail address for my 'steve2267' login @ T4R.org... confirmed the e-mail change, and logged back in. Unfortunately... still stuck in the same place. Cannot create new threads.

    If I have to guess... I think the 'login' is mucked up somewhere internally to the Vbulletin software, probably a database record got munged somewhere.

    @steve2267 If you absolutely need to post over there just make a new username, and later on we can switch you over to the old name without losing anything. Just remember to CONFIRM the email this time lol.

    I've already got another account 'rocket2267' up and running. If it's possible to merge rocket2267 into a un-boogered steve2267 login, that would be great. But I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

    lol oh ok.. Then I will cancel the request to fix steve2267 and put in a request to transfer that name in place the name rocket2267. So all your account info, posts, etc as rocket2267 will just change to the steve username.. You will not lose anything.
