I'll need to get LT next year. My Hak r2 are at 38psi and looks like I'm at 25. At 5600lbs I'm on the high side of what they can handle and front end wise I'm really heavy

    I don't think the r2 are studdable

I’ve got a Cherry bomb glasspack I can donate to your exhaust troubles. Somewhere between 2-2.5” ID, can’t remember exactly. It’s been collecting dust in my shop since 2012 after I pulled it off a 3.0 V6 truck going to scrap. It’s nothing fancy, but the price is right.

How much? Might take you up on that if you’re close enough to me to make it worth it. I was just gonna buy a 2.25” tube from Canadian Tire and weld it in place of the muffler.

Better to get retail Duratracs with studs. Better deep snow traction.

Note the OEM Duratracs that come with ZR2s, JL Rubicons and others don't have stud holes, but do have more siping.

I personally dislike the look of the Duratracs tread.

A dedicated snow tire would be required where I live, my next ones will have studs for sure. Even if the little snow flake is on the tire, it does not mean its perfect for all winter applications. -40C changes the way tires work big time, and we get that for extended periods here in North Bay every winter.

I do like your thinking on better deep snow traction :hattip:

Since I have both summer and winter tires, I just have to deal with them for years and years now :cookiemonster:

Appreciate the offer! Think I’m just gonna get down and dirty underneath the truck after class and go for it. If it’s a bitch to weld I’m just going to clamp with putty

What exhaust setup did you do?

Welding exhaust pipe is a bastard.

I just cut my muffler off and went with a hand me down muffler from my brother in law. It’s a brmp exhaust meant for a ranger.

I welded a 90 on the end, a reducer so I could clamp it on to my stock exhaust. Also made some hangers (in process in the picture below. Don’t have pictures mounted though apparently.

It ain’t pretty. But I painted it black and hoping no one goes under the truck.

^Are you using a MIG welder? I think you need a flap disc to clean up the splatter anyway. :p
