    Hi! I'm Manuel from Chile.

Thank you guys for accepting me... amazed by this great community of tacoma lovers!

Just wondering if some has installed an extra 2 inch lift spacer on your Fox 2.0 performance coilover? Im actually running with the oem bilstein suspension with a 2" inch lift and I would like to keep it on my new fox, so I can use them with zero preload on the spring.

Does it make sense? I suppose that if the spring is less preloaded, the suspension work smoother?

    Welcome.

I wouldn't stack lifts like that. The fox coilovers should ride plenty smooth and are designed to run the preload. They would be a massive upgrade (without the spacer lift) over what you are currently running.

Thank you for the reply. I was thinking on the spacer because I would love to gain 2.5 or 3" total height... so I can set the Fox to only 0,5 or 1"

Then you need to look into maxtrac spindle lift. Unless you are 4x4.

    Ok... no spindle lift.
Going to want to stay below 3 inches or a drop bracket lift is in your future... cut out cross member for front diff to drop.

You don’t wanna stack lifts together it will ride like crap an you CVs will hate you for it. The fox’s will ride GREAT. If you want some more lift check out a 1in body lift. PS welcome to TW:cheers:

I see what you're thinking of doing now. If I were you I'd spend some time researching around on here and see what others are doing with the Fox 2.0s, but I think they'd meet your goals with a little bit of preload and still ride nicely.

Yeah just run the fox. I think you’ll be pleased with the difference in ride quality dispite the factory preload.

You can always run a stiffer/longer spring on the fox set up and you won't need preload to achieve the desired lift.
No reasonable person on here is going to tell you to put a spacer and a coil over together.
