I think we should drive to Moab on the 10th to spend an extra day in Colorado, it would look like this:

    6th- Drive Cinci to KC
    7th- Drive KC to Denver
8th- Screw around in RMNP/Denver/Longmont areas
    10th- Drive to Moab
11th-14th- Do Moab things in Moab
    15th- Drive to Telluride
16th-17th- Imogene Pass, Alpine Loop, etc.
    18th-20th- Drive back.

Any ideas on what you would do for two days in the Denver area?

Edit: doesnt have to be Denver I guess just curious what you had in mind.

Like you said, I didn't mean Denver, I've just been watching a lot of videos on YouTube of trails in Colorado, the scenery is too awesome to only spend one day there then 5 days in the desert lol

I don't disagree. It would probably be a lot cooler(temps) as well.

The reality of it is that you cant see it all in 2 weeks. Either something gets skipped or skimmed when you cover that much ground.

Where are the trails you're talking about?

We are spending 3 days at the end of the trip in the San Juans, that's where most of the more famous colorado stuff is. But I wouldn't be opposed to spending another day around the front range if something stuck out to you

Pikes Peak or Mt. Evans in your plans for the Denver area or just planning to stay north of Denver? I'm sure both of those places will be full of people taking selfies in July though.

Pikes Peak is west of the Springs, not Denver. I'd go down there to check it out and the Garden of the Gods if we want to though, it's only like 90 minutes from Denver IIRC

Well, the problem is that I won't get to see the San Juans stuff at the end of the trip because I have to start driving back on Saturday the 13th, but I guess that's my fault for not doing the entire trip lol

Really whats going to happen is we're going to get to Denver on time, pick up you and maybe my wife from the airport, then the schedule will probably become a lot more fluid based on what people want to see/do. If we end up with only a handful of folks like it's looking like, I'd like to spend some more time in the national parks, for example.

Yeah, I don't see how we get out there without cutting the denver area out of the trip altogether, cause it's not close. Denver to Telluride is over 6 hours

I'm probably renting a car as to avoid any meeting ups ideally. I'll park at trail heads when necessary.

I think that's my best option to be able to do a portion of this trip at all.

Yeah, I'd like to do some hiking if possible also. I have a cousin that lives in Salt Lake city, I'm gonna try to get him to meet me in Moab so I'm not riding alone the whole time. I'm also gonna try to persuade Chelsea to fly out and spend a couple of days with me, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

No need to be an ass about it. Didn't matter if she was sitting right next to me, still wouldn't change my feelings.
