just curious if any of you are air gunners. I’ve only got not it within the last couple years but I’m hooked. Same fun as shooting a powder burner but I can walk out in my backyard and shoot 100 shots without neighbors complaining or calling the cops, plus it’s way cheaper than even the cheapest .22

I started with a cheap Chinese break barrel and currently have 2 Diana 34’s and a Benjamin Marauder

Yep I have a couple of tuned Hw's a 34 and an Edgun pcp. I know at least one other person on the forum with a Taipan. Air rifles are extremely satisfying and severely underrated..

Have kinda got away from it a bit now that quality .22 is readily available and affordable. But does this count?

Decided I didn’t like the black Dura-Coat after awhile. This is how it sits now.

If I can get over Buck fever, I’ll kill a turkey with it this spring. I’ve tried two seasons but I come unglued.

I still have my trusty 1377 and Benjamin Trail NP. Almost pulled the trigger on the new FX dreamline but bought a real gun instead. $1,000 for an air rifle is too rich for my blood. I might just get a Hatsan bullboss instead.

I have a Benji Trail NP as well. If you want it to shoot like a TOTALLY different gun, spend $30.00 and drop a Charlie Da Tuna trigger in her. You can (and will) thank me later.

Edit: here’s a pic of my Trail, doesn’t get shot much as of late.

I just picked up a Gamo Swarm Maxxis in .22. I got different types of pellets and an extra magazine to go with it.

I haven't paid attention at all but was surprised at how much the air gun technology has advanced over the years.

    The ammo.

I've got a Sig Sauer MCX pellet gun, very fun, pain in the ass to load, and not very powerful. I'm looking at getting a much stronger, single shot, maybe 22 or 25, for rabbits and small game. Want something strong and accurate

Look at what I just posted above. I just bought it and was sighting it in tonight. I was going from my bedroom to the front of my garage to not bother the neighbors. It's about 15 yards. I put up 8 layers of cardboard and a 1/4 inch sheet of heavy density particle board. Damn thing shot thru all layers and into the garage door insulation. Luckily it did not penetrate the metal door skin. The 10 shots got a great grouping but I needed to adjust the elevation. I will have to add another layer to prevent it getting to the door before I shoot it anymore.

The magazines are very easy to load and give you 10 shots each. The break barrel is a little tight to cock but I hear it's a little easier as it gets used. It auto loads each round as you cock it.

There are many videos on youtube of it taking small game up to young boars.

I have a gamo 22 air rifle. I've taken to shooting ground hogs in my back yard which has been incredibly fun and challenging. The window for a clean kill is incredibly tight. I'm hoping to buy an fx impact (?) this time next year. its pretty amazing the power you can get out of these things.

I used to be able to shoot in my back yard, but all the old orange groves have been turned into houses, all around me. I just got a Walther Terrus break barrel pellet rifle, what a hoot, I'm still sighting it in, my old man eyes can't see for crap anymore, so a scope is in the mail. It's powerful, and accurate so far, only indoor shooting for now, it's louder then I thought it was going to be.I'll get some pictures up soon.

Bought a Gamo Swarm Magnum .22 a while back. Put a Hawke scope on it. Still trying to find the pellets it likes.

I've been shooting in my house, 13 yards, 39 feet. My Walther doesn't like heavy pellets for some reason. Broke it in on 7.4 grain Crossmans, now it won't shoot 10.5's for crap. These are some light weight pellets, it does real well with light pellets, but have read it shouldn't be so pellet fussy, I dunno.IMG_0475.jpgIMG_0476.jpg

Does anyone in here have an air rifle capable of taking down deer or full grown hog ?

    Any thoughts or input ?
