I just ordered my Countersteer Type X's and will need some Kbro2's. In Texas I had a guy at Discount that just gave me the lowest price without haggling. Any recommendations for where to do tires here, or should I just break down and get a costco card?

On a side note I'll be getting 285/70/17 C loads, but anyone think the Michelin Defender A/T2's would be better? I had K02's in my Wrangler but the springs were stiff and the tires were E load so it road pretty rough. A lot of that could just be that it's a Wrangler, but I would like this to ride nicer. I'll be offroading it, but not really rock-crawling anymore. Thanks!

Well the ones in looking at are D rated so that should feel like I'm riding on a cloud then. It's good to hear an unbiased opinion. ;) Since you're the Michelin man can you get me a discount on some tires? :fingerscrossed:

Whatever you end up paying, with their tread life, they'll be the least expensive tires you ever run.

I was worried about offroad performance for the Michelin AT2's because all I could find was written reviews and I finally found a decent offroad video that's convinced me. He's doing pretty much everything I will be doing in my Taco, if I want to do anything crazier my heep is better suited than a DCLB. I'm glad I took one last look before settling. Thanks, @teamhypoxia and @BillsSR5 for the opinions.

Forewarning the video is recorded on a phone he's holding out a window so it's not great.

I order thru tire-rack and pick-up at the warehouse. Free shipping with additional discount when you pick-up.

Surprisingly discount tire is the cheapest at $250 a tire whereas tire rack is $276 for the Michelins. Amazon is over $300 each.
