Ive research TW and saw dimensions for a 3rd gen DC off road long bed platform...Does anyone have a measurements for the short bed? I currently live in the city where i don't have a garage to work out of and would need to pre cut the plywood (3/4?) at my local home depot etc. My Gf and myself would be sleeping in the back so it would need to be sturdy. Any suggestions would help Thank you Tacoma World for the input!

Looking for what people have done in the past and which designs they like. I like to pick peoples brains and see their ideas. Thank you for the link!

I used a tape measure for mine, the bed dimensions might not take into account the little indents and cutouts that are in the plastic

    Pic for reference

you can use those cutouts on either side to base the platform off of like I did, I got everything precut at home depot IMG_0237.jpg

This way it can easily be folded over for extra storage and leaves room beneath the platform, in my case for my spare

I hope you guys are very short then. I'm 6' and I'm uncomfortable even sleeping diagonally back there.

Also be mindful of the curves and indentures needed toward the tailgate. Just length and width and it won't fit.

Best advise I can give you is to make 2 50/50 split pieces supported by 2x6s where the bed has notches at wheel well height. That way you still have storage space beneath

    I got a long bed:anonymous:

but this is all good info, I had to take the same factors into account, was still super easy to make

Only thing I changed is I did a 40/60 split so if I need the other side for storage i'll still have a wide enough sleeping platform

EDIT: you beat me to the reply:rofl:
