    Drilled through the lower handle tab on my A-pillar in prep to mount my ultragauge. I should be able to run the wire through there as well to make it a clean install.

    I remember the issue with the airbag when you mounted your flashlight. Would this become a projectile as well in this location if it deployed?

    It shouldn't. All the clips I've seen of that airbag deploying only moved the top portion of the a-pillar. And the steering wheel airbag deploys first so it would act like a shield.

    Steering wheel airbags deploy in a front impact. Side curtain & seat airbags deploy in a side impact.
    Are you thinking the steering wheel airbag will deploy whenever the side bags are deployed?

    I meant in the instances (diagonal impact?) where they both deploy. I found a good video below where it looks like the bottom of the A-pillar (where I plan on mounting) isn't affected by the side airbag. Play at 1:23 for a great side impact shot
