Well it took me 12 hours today but I got the floor installed. Need to cut the 1/4 round and shoot it on. Prolly tomorrow. It’s amazing what some paint, new updates, and a lot of sweat and beers does to a place. Waiting on counters to get set then it’s just finish work, odds and ends here and there. Can’t wait though!

What did y'all go with for the flooring? My wife wants something similar.

    Looks great!

I want a hybrid system, which tends to be pricier.

Heat pump is used until around 30-32* then it kicks over to a propane furnace.

My house is old and isn’t as well insulated as newer homes.

@dan0mite or anyone else with experience with RR shocks. This note was on the baggie with the stickers. There is a schrader valve on the RR. Do I need to charge these with Nitrogen or what?

For something that expensive I’d find a way to fill with 100% Nitrogen, just to be sure.

Yes, I know, air is 78% Nitrogen.

Yes, nitrogen only. I wonder why it's not filled with nitrogen? Thought the vendors usually fill them...at least @Downsouth Motorsports sent mine filled.

Edit: I have nitrogen but won't be making it to the mod day this Saturday.

Luxury vinyl plank. Stuff is amazing. Water proof, scratch resistant. Lays easier then hardwood. I had Brazilian Koa in my last house and it was beautiful, but it still scratched and dented even though it’s ten times harder then oak.

Lvp is nothing like pergo or engineered. Shit is strong! I’m also kinda weird that we didn’t want any carpet in this house so I did lvp through the whole thing all running in one direction. No seems, no transitions. Carpet is just dirty no matter how much ya clean it. I’m sure we will do a throw rug in the living room and bedrooms, but at least I can pressure wash or carpet scrub em. I will get the company name of the stuff I used I honestly can’t remeber after researching so many of em.

I'll call AccuTune tomorrow and double check. They went through and custom valved them for me. It was like a 30 min conversation I felt like that was some pretty good customer svc.

What's the price difference in that and laminate? Also does it get glued like normal vinyl flooring? Trying to figure out what we are going to put down on the beach house. Not going back with carpet want something that can easily be patched or pulled up and subfloor repaired in the future if need be.

@toysgood I did barnboars ceramic tile in my basement in the last house. Once again looked amazing but man what a job install all that tile haha. With the lvp being floating if I would have a problem makes it a lot easier to replace compared to tile.52247B2A-F766-4916-999D-9789C73D1EA1.jpg
Here is a pic of that tile and barn door I made outta pine then stained it. I’m building a floor to ceiling pallet wall around the fire place and in the kitchen around the bar. Will give it that rustic look once I sand and stain some of the board. I will post some pics. Prolly gonna tackle that this weekend.

Shit ain’t cheap. You can get cheap stuff for prolly under a buck a sq. This stuff was like 2.89 a sq but it has the backing right on it. Mold and water proof, free floating. It snaps in but ya have to set it like hardwood. Make sure it’s flush and tap it in a with a wood block, same as hardwood just lighter and way easier to install.

If you have a fuck up you can back track without taking the whole floor up. I’ve been told ya can glue it but it is free floating. I’m just a hillybilly that handy so if I can install it I’m sure you can. YouTube has some slick ideas on replacing since pieces if needed.

I'll talk to the rest of the fam. about it. I suggested the Laminate so that it's easier. Having a place right on the water is just brutal on everything. I want simple and easy since I am the main one doing the repairs and upkeep or overseeing and teaching my dad and uncle how to. I had to do the roof a couple yrs ago by myself that was no fun 40 some ft in the air in the middle of the summer.

If I remember correctly coretec is the original maker of lvp. They have 100s of colors and grades. This is the pro plus series. I heard about but never trusted it I guess. Her parents had it out in their house in Myrtle almost 2 years ago when they built it.

To this day looks brand new. Not one scratch, lift, anything. My frenchy chases the other 2 fat bulldogs and it has held up 10 times better then any other floor I’ve seen or installed. No mold and being water proof is a huge plus. I’m sure you would have no problem man.

Took me all day but I’m anal about cutting under the door jams and stuff. Would rather do it right once then have to go back and do it again down the road.
